Two Exhibits Closing in San Francisco and Paris
May 30 is the last day of "Giant Paintings" in SF; May 31 is the last day of "Small Paintings" at Galerie Mercier in Paris.
May 30 is the last day to see “Mitchell Johnson: Giant Paintings from New England, California and Newfoundland” at 425 Market Street in San Francisco. You can enter the exhibit through the lobby of this skyscraper at the Fremont Street doors any hour of the day, through early morning of May 31st…
“Mitchell Johnson: Small Paintings” is on view in Paris through May 31 at Galerie Mercier, 40 rue de L’universite. The gallery hours are 2-7, but the show can be seen through the front window until 9pm each night when the gallery lights go out.
I’m in these photos to give scale to the paintings.
The shows have led to a very successful May. Thanks to everyone who attended the exhibits and those who helped spread the word: The New York Times Magazine, Nob Hill Gazette, WSJ. Magazine, The New Yorker, San Francisco Magazine, WhiteHot Magazine, Ashcan Daily, The Contemporary Landscape, Folesdog, Luca Johnson and AugustNoon.
